Examples with named people and placeholder IDs are fictional. # Public source directory > Find the right source among the shipped public-web families, then inspect its current operation contract. This directory names the 58 source families in the current 0.11.1 checkout. It is a route into focused discovery, not a claim that every operation is configured, reliable or live-tested. Start with the subject the user asked about, then inspect only that source's operations and the specific contract you intend to use: ```sh theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"vesper"}} almanac web sources --source youtube almanac web describe youtube.video.transcript.read almanac web sources --source youtube --available ``` `web sources` is offline catalog discovery. `--available` reports current configuration; it does not prove a live provider request will succeed. `web describe` supplies native inputs, filters, example syntax and stated limits. When two engines expose the same operation ID, specify `--engine` to see the intended contract. Its scan-search variant is disabled in the current catalog; do not treat its presence as an enabled action. | An operation name points to a possible kind of information, not guaranteed coverage of a particular account, page, date or field.
