The CLI groups operations by what they act on. Root verbs address saved knowledge and work. Sessions, connected services and public web research keep their own operations because their identities and effects differ.

Choose the owner

Tasks and projects use root record verbs: almanac list --type task and almanac list --type project. There are no separate tasks list or projects commands in this personal CLI. Sources use root read for metadata, not a sources read command.

Obtain the precise contract

These answer different questions. Command help describes syntax. A live schema explains saved record inputs. A scoped web catalog shows native operation IDs; web describe OPERATION_ID gives that operation’s filters and examples. Provider tools search "intent" returns ordinary command paths; follow a returned command with --help for its inputs, effects and examples. Use commands returned by discovery rather than guessing their spelling. A flag that expects a value needs that value before --help: --type --help is an incomplete argument. For Reddit, specify the source and type, then request help as above. Avoid dumping the entire web catalog when the source is known. Focused schema selection locates a field but can still include many supporting definitions. The common update schema also includes fields from several record kinds; it is not permission to put every such field on a person. Check the actual kind’s schema and current record. The editing chapter explains the caller-facing input shape. almanac help COMMAND returns that command’s help in the envelope’s data.text (--markdown prints it as text).
